BOREN-TÜBİTAK COOPERATION

In order to support R&D projects with a significant commercialization potential for the development of new boron products, more economical production technologies and new and widespread usage areas for the development of boron-based industry in our country, a cooperation protocol was signed between TÜBİTAK and our Institute.

Within the framework of the cooperation initiated with the protocol signed in 2012, 22 projects have been supported to date. Within the scope of the call made in 2018, 58 project applications were made and 22 projects were found to be eligible to move to Phase 2. 16 of the projects that passed to phase 2 were found suitable for participation in the panel and the evaluation process is ongoing.

BOREN TÜBİTAK-MAM Boron and Hydrogen Technologies Activities

Within the framework of the protocol signed between BOREN and TÜBİTAK-MAM, the "BOREN TÜBİTAK-MAM Boron and Hydrogen Technologies Competence Center” has been established in order to cooperate in the R&D activities focused on developing information, experience and system to develop the boron and hydrogen based product and production technologies for energy applications in line with the BOREN approach and objectives and apply the developed technology in the field. 2  projects titled "Development of Boron-Based Hydrogen and Fuel Cell System for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (Fuel Cell UAV)” and "Boron-Based Fuel Cell Range Enhancer for Electric Vehicles" were carried out and completed at the Center.
